Seattle Real Estate
Author: John Eadon Seattle Real Estate
You're blessed if you know where it is you want to live. I'm referring to the place where you'll spend the majority of your life. Make no mistake; this is not always an easy place to put your finger on. With 50 states and numerous other countries around the globe, finding the right spot is a challenge to be reckoned with. I've spent parts of my life in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Portland, Oregon, Elkader, Iowa, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Seattle, Washington. Wile all of these places had their perks, I definitely prefer a couple over the others. And that's why I like to check out Chapel Hill and Seattle real estate on occasion. I still hope to move back to one of these areas one day. But, it's all about finding the right home.
Cost of living is always a major factor. Depending upon where you wish to live, the income you'll need for housing and living expenses will certainly vary. Take Manhattan, New York for instance. This is about as bad as it gets. It's doubtful you'll encounter many MORE expensive areas in the USA. A buddy of mine who was born and raised there swears that you need to be a millionaire to live there comfortably. I believe it and you can have it. I surely won't pay for a smog-filled environment with high crime. Then there's Seattle real estate. This area is also ideal, but without the horrible smog and crime rates of New York City.
Sure, any time you choose to live in a city, as opposed to a more rural area, the crime rates and cost of living are going to increase. This is only natural. Now, if you love the city life, then I can understand why you would choose to endure a few more issues. When it comes to Seattle real estate, I would be willing to deal with the increased living expenses simply because the area is so nice. Just to give you an idea of what Seattle is like; it's basically a diverse, liberal environment with dozens of coffee shops, amenities, fine restaurants, street markets, diverse culture and plenty of rain. So what do you think so far?
If you're in the market for Seattle real estate, I suggest you check out websites such as homes.com. Now is one of the best times to browse from what I can see. Real estate prices are down and you might just find the perfect home within your price range.
