For both men and women, that 40th birthday is a turning point. While older people may say, "Oh, you're still a young person!", somehow this sentiment doesn't ring quite true. The soon to be 40 year old realizes that while they're not exactly a senior yet, those last ten years flew by far too quickly. They now know that the next ten will flash by even more quickly.

Each generation likes to have its own heroes and a wide generation gap appeared following World War II. 50s and 60s music brought on a cultural revolution, not seen before or since. After the austerity of the war, people wanted to have fun. Dances were popular and record shops did good business.

Everyone has their favourite musical decade and many people are nostalgic for the 1980s. 80's greatest hits compilations are very popular and this era supplies many floor fillers. The way that records were promoted changed during this period with the introduction of the MTV channel.

A Family Approach To Celiac Disease (09 Dec 2008)
For protein lovers, Celiac disease is one thing they wouldn't want to inherit from the family genes. Fortunately, its treatment can also be ensured within the family and in the home.

A Simple Guide To Ecommerce Shopping Carts (02 Dec 2008)
Not another guide. Well that may be but having a lot of background knowledge on a subject is pretty essential don't you think? About Seashells (05 Jul 2008)
You should be sure to know all about seashells before buying them, or you are likely to be taken advantage of because of your ignorance of the subject. I have spent hours and hours combing the beech and, take it from me, people pay ridiculous amounts of money for absolute junk all of the time.

When using an address stamp, do you ever make a note of the picture on the stamp? It is amazing to see just how many different kinds of address stamp pictures are seen on envelopes throughout the world.

Adult slumber parties (20 Dec 2008)
We all remember, as kids, attending those girlie slumber parties, where we sat around eating chips and dips, cookies, pizza and watching movies. Plenty of giggles and pillow fights added up to a whole lot of fun. Gossip was an essential. Just because we've now grown up is no reason that the slumber party can't be replicated. Adult slumber parties can be just as much fun. So what's the difference between these childhood parties and the grown up version, the adult slumber party? Let's take a look.

Affordable prom dresses (05 Jul 2008)
Affordable prom dresses - Long gone are the days where the only place to purchase a prom dress was a fancy bridal shop with its equally fancy and expensive pricing. Since the emergence of the internet, it has become even easier to find affordable prom dresses that will not cost a fortune.

American Idol Auditions (05 Jul 2008)
With new auditions for American Idol being held in Seattle next month, a lot of my friends around here are thinking about whether or not they have a chance. It is amazing how many people have secret dreams of making it big.

Ancient Military History (21 Dec 2008)
I've always considered myself somewhat of a history buff, and I have always liked to study the military, but I've never really checked out ancient military history until recently. It did not seem relevant to me, to tell you the truth. I was more interested in the evolution of the modern world, and I couldn't see how ancient history would have anything to do with that. One of my friends is a classical studies major, and he convinced me to take another look at it. What I found really surprised and fascinated me.

Animal Science (21 Dec 2008)
My daughter tells me that she wants to grow up to be a vegetarian so that she can work with animals. I am pretty sure that she means she wants to be a veterinarian, but you just never know with her. I supposed if she was going to work with animals and care for their well being, she may end up being both things, and that clears up some of the confusion. If that is truly what she is going to do, she is going to have to go to college for animal science in order to get anywhere with her career choices.

Animal Trackers (20 Dec 2008)
When I was a kid, I had an animal track guide poster up on my wall. I had grown up on stories of animal trackers - hunters and naturalists living off of their wits in the great outdoors. Some of these were fiction, but a lot of them were true stories passed on by my grandpa - an animal tracker himself. He had spent much of his childhood years hunting wild game as a way to supplement the meager farm land that his family owned.

Applying for Medicaid (29 Dec 2008)
Although Medicaid is a Federal program, the eligibility guidelines for it are determined by each state. This is why you will need to contact your local department of human services to apply for it. Most states have the locations divided up by counties so you will also need to make sure you contact the one in the area where you reside.

Are psychic readings true (18 Nov 2008)
We've all seen at least one television program, where the host of the show claims to have psychic abilities and to be able to give accurate psychic readings for complete strangers in their guest audience. Viewers, while finding these shows fascinating, must also have a certain amount of skepticism. As with the old style fortune tellers at the circus, there's always an element of distrust.

Art classes as therapy for the winter blues and beyond (20 Dec 2008)
Some of us get cabin fever during the winter months. If you're normally an active person, when it's cold, rainy or snowing outside, you're automatically deprived of most outdoor activities. No working in the garden. You've got to be a pretty tough customer if you like to walk.
